Cognitive Workshops has been running professional training in Canada since 1995. We generally run one two-day workshop in each of Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver every year, usually in the fall. While these workshops are large-scale, they very much focus on practical, clinical tools for therapists, using a hands-on format involving numerous role-plays and exercises, accompanied by extensive handouts.
For fall 2009, we are pleased to present Dr. Christine Padesky with a new workshop called From Chaos to Clarity: Collaborative Case Conceptualization.
Dates for this workshop are:
Toronto – Oct 29-30, 2009
Ottawa – Nov 2-3, 2009
Vancouver – Nov 12-13, 2009
The workshop explores a new model of CBT case conceptualization that helpfully guides therapists through each step of the case conceptualization process. This new framework naturally links case conceptualization to treatment decisions and shows how to combine individual client experiences with cognitive-behavioural theory and evidence-based therapy approaches.
Full details will be available in spring 2009.
